The Ukrainian Institute is a public institution of Ukraine that aims to represent Ukrainian culture in the world, serve as a tool for Ukrainian cultural diplomacy and support international cooperation projects in creative industries, culture, education and science. The institute was founded by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in 2017, and is affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. It fully began its activities in the summer of 2018, after the appointment to the position of General Director Volodymyr Sheiko, as a result of an open competition and the creation of a team of specialists.

It is common to the cuisines of Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe and much of Western Asia, Northern China, as well as parts of North Africa.\nMeat fillings are traditional in Europe, and include beef, lamb, or pork seasoned with garlic, onion, and spices. Grains such as rice and barley, mushrooms, and vegetables are often included as well. Fermented cabbage leaves are used for wrapping, particularly in southeastern Europe. In Asia, seafoods, tofu, and shiitake mushrooms may also be used. Chinese cabbage is often used as a wrapping.
